There’s something special about science.

It connects you to the process of discovery.

It forces you to open your mind.

It breaks you down.

It builds you up.

It shows you that nothing is impossible.

A lil somethin’ about me:

I am a first generation Mexican-American, born and bred in Los Angeles County, Ca. Following high school, I served in the U.S Air Force as a medical logistician and lived overseas in the U.K and Turkey. My passion for learning led to me to a career change and obtaining a double B.S in Nutrition Science and Molecular & Cellular Biology from UNLV & LSUS respectively. My quest for scientific inquiry did not end there and I decided pursuing a PhD in Cell Biology & Anatomy would be the best choice for me. I am now a recent PhD graduate from LSU Health with a research focus in mild traumatic brain injury. In addition to science, my other passions include running and traveling! I love seeing the interconnection between science and everyday life.

I made this website to leave my mark in science and tell the next generation it is possible.
